These 4 variations of poster design are for a fictional event; a community event that I wish my community had! The 4 designs each appeal to a different target market.
1 - Mature Adults - Classic representations of Jazz & harmonious subdued colour system.
2. Families - On trend complementary colour system that pops! & a playful feeling. Easy to digest more traditional poster format, highlighting 'Free Community Event'.
3. Young Adults - Image of young female playing saxaphone in background, on trend typeface in a spacious layout. Simplicity appeals to youth at the moment, so the colour system was kept neutral and harmonious and icons utilised to convey messages of 'Nurturing Local Talent' & 'Free Community Event', 'Glass Free' & 'Alcohol Free'.
4. Eclectic Hipsters - Bold geometric type & colour system in a playful yet structured format give this poster authority in the genre, attracting those with discerning musical tastes.
This series showcases my adaptability in style and how I prioritise meeting the needs of the creative brief/target market for the event.
I also developed a series of Icons to simplify the information on the posters which encompassed a Nurturing Local Talent Icon, a Community Free Event Icon, as well as Icons to represent the event as Alcohol Free and Glass Free.
